I bought these racquets a while back but never get a chance to take them out(that's when you know you have too many racquets) I thought about selling them but decided to take them out for a spin this past weekend. They are Head Premier Tour mid (600cm) with 16x18 made in Austria. Here are the spec from tennis warehouse website from Dec 1998

***after added 1 over grip and dampener = 350 grams with 8 pt HL)***

I did some research on here and they were many negative and a few possitive comments about these racquets. Almost like love/hate relationship (but more hate). I like to read all the info/comments on here for educational purpose only and tend not to judge any racquets by just listening to other people comments until I hit with it. BUT in the back of my mind I still expect these racquets to be very unstable and have terrible feel to it. Well to my surprise, Premier Tour play fantastic for me. Midsize head with open strings pattern is fantastic. BTW Head Premier Tour head size is a bit bigger than my other Head mid but not by much. I'm normally a big fan of Head mid(89.5) with 18x20 and have no problem generate top spin with 18x20 pattern but with 16x18 strings pattern, my topspin really shine. My one handed back hand becomes my weapon and my backhand slice is very skiddy and low. I know I may be on "honeymoon" period but does anyone here have any nice thing to say about Head Premier Tour? I think it would be nice if Head would make Prestige mid with 16x18.

I think that's a PT280 by the way, but I know absolutely nothing about old head frames, so I might be totally wrong.

I'm going to hang on to them for now but I do need to shrink my collection a bit. I'll email you if I decide to put them up on for sale section.
