Do tennis specific shoes actually help?

    I've played in my everyday basketball adidas forever. Do shoes specifically for tennis make an actual difference. And if so, what?

    of course they help but that doesnt mean that other shoes won't do ..

    yes they do! i've tried many shoes and nothing works unless you use tennis shoes.

    a pusher on my highschool tennis team wears nike air force ones on the court
    and those weigh like a pound each?
    so yeah they do affect you
    haha i wear adidas barricade3's and i love em to death

    I think the shoes make a difference, our couch got our team some head shoes, ionno wat kind but they slowed me down a lot, then when i changed to some Nike shoes i moved way better, i was faster and i was moving my feet more... i guess cause the head shoes were heavy

    yeah they do, they are more durable, i wore out a pair of running shoes in two week and thats when i switched to proper tennis shoes
