    BLACKFISH

Amazing film........you will know why killer whales are called killer whales!

Also makes you sick to hear the truth behind Seaworld and the even worse parks like it around the world.

Funny you mention that documentary chrischris as it was the last documentary I watched (Friday the 2nd). Not the 1st time I saw it & I guess I didn't pay attention to all the personal life snippets from the times I've shown it to my students.

I try to watch a documentary out of every 4-5 discs I get from Netflix. I try not to bore my wife with too too many documentaries in the theaters or @ home, so I try to have a rotation of new release, wife's choice, classic flick, documentary. Just watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi prior to An Inconvenient Truth & even though I wouldn't touch sushi, it was a fascinating documentary.

One that sticks in my head that I saw in theaters is My Kid Could Paint That.

I just saw Jiro does Sushi.

It's okay. Nothing special. It just keeps reiterating that Jiro is working hard to make the best sushi possible. That's a great thing, but makes for a long repetitious movie.

It would have been better if it had included some serious look at the sushi and fishing industries, or how Michelin arrives at its ratings, or how Japanese culture views food. Something bigger than just how Jiro is really into making sushi.

Miami Mega Jail by Louis Theroux

Louis takes on few of the notorious Miami county jails...where many of the most volatile inmates are incarcerated ... scary stuff...

Remember the first time you saw some documentary/video on how Ants work, their system etc... how you felt? "who knew?!?! wow! what an amazing system they got. etc etc, ... "
it sort of felt like that when I saw Miami Mega Jail (ofc minus the amazement part)
