Does anyone actually WANT anyone apart from Fedal to win a slam?

Does anyone actually new blood inside the slam winner's circle?

Personally, I don't - I wanna see Nadal and Federer fight it out for the history books with one of them hopefully winning the most grand slams in history for another 200 years or so.

If someone else won a slam, or god forbid, several over these next few years they would stand in the way of that happening.

As it stands, I don't see anyone challenging Nadal for any slam for the next few years. This year's Wimby is probably Federer's last ever shot.

I am for Nadal but seeing Murray winning his first slam at home would still be good.

What a silly question. Everyone on Earth is a Fedal fan, so no.

Yes I really want to see a non-Fedal Wimbledon champion for the first time since 2002, and a non-Fedal world no. 1 for the first time since January 2004.

I prefer variety in grand slam champions and players reaching the latter stages, rather than the same players benefitting from surface homogenisation to reach the finals and semi-finals of practically every big tournament.

Chalk me up for Murray. It should be his turn one of these times.

Unfortunately I hold out little hope for it.

I want to see Murray win one of them.

I'd also like to see a final between two players who aren't Major champions, it would be a refreshing change to have a final where we're guaranteed to have a new champion.

on a serious note, the more contenders the more interesting and unpredictable is the competition - that's why we love the sports, no?

It's in Novak's hands, he just needs to quit dropping it, Murray is this time X10.

It is like a kid with ice cream, they have it right in their hands, go to lick, and push the ice cream right off the cone and onto the ground.

Things change. Both Federer and Nadal will eventually get old and new players will step in as hard as it is for some to believe.

Don't you occasionally want to see something different than Federer and Nadal playing each other in a final?

Wouldn't a dosage of Djokovic, Murray or del Potro be okay for a change of pace? How about some variety and some different styles on occasion?

Don't you think it's boring having the same thing at every meal?

Every grand slam, TTW goes on about how someone other than Fedal will win it this time. Of course, Fedal always wins it and then everyone shuts up until the next grand slam when people start throwing around Murray, Djokovic and DelPo again until they inevitably crash and burn.

Oh, I'd love for someone new to step up! I'm happy Djokovic has done so, and I'd love to see Murray do so as well. Fedal matches are fine, but it's more fun to mix up different players and different styles. If those four were all solid, reliable contenders, there would be, what, 6 different potential matchups for any given Slam? That'd be great.
