Does anyone use left over pieces of strings to recycle them?

I have always been curious if anyone actually uses, or recycles left over pieces of tennis string after a string job.

I typically have 4-5 feet left over after each job. It seems this extra string could be used for something! Seems such a waste.

I just spoke to a teacher friend and she said she could probably use the string for arts or crafts projects at school and church. So I am sending her the excess string from the last 100 jobs or so.

From a broken string job, I made an almost invisible clothes line above my bathtub

Also, I used some smaller pieces to tie the center belt part of the net to the court because everything else was breaking/bending/snapping/melting.

I keep some of the longer pieces in my bag to repair torn nets.
