The dirt? Kinda. Dirt buildup should be expected around the mesh areas. But mine isn't that extreme.

He's referring to the broken lace holder. And yes, many people have had that issue. One of the reasons I now mostly wear Adidas shoes.

Yup, same here. I usually only wear Nike shoes casually versus wearing them to actually play. Any shoe that has "fabric/nylon" loops are more apt to break like that...

Just curious, how long did you use the shoe before the loop broke? Based on the clay build up, a while.

I had mine about the same amount of time. Because I prefer Adidas for match play, I don't sport the Nike's much. But I'd wear my 4.3s about 2-3 times a week for a few hours at a time. Then one day... Pop.. What a waste...

I ripped a few lace loops on ballistecs, but I sewed them back on with poly thread.

Still haven't broken any with Vapors.

Now the real question: Is anyone else having problems with poorly glued on soles? As soon as reach the foamy goodness in my ballistecs, the rubber is separated...never happened with my vapors...

That's because the Vapors have a superior lace design with overlays taking the pressure, totally different to the awful design on the CBs. Shame, as they're other wise a good shoe.

I'm more annoyed with the fact that you are wearing Adidas socks with Nike shoes...you should be careful...you might lose your sponsorship...haha...but actually...

Wow! You just made me spit up IPA all over my shirt. You must absolutely whiff and hit nothing but air on a lot of balls. Maybe you could bring your seeing eye dog on the courts.

Oh sorry I honestly didn't see the broken lace holder. Surprisingly my Courtballistecs have not broken in the laces section and it's almost a year since I had these :/

No, you don't have to torture your feet in the clunky Adidas Barricades or in the other lighter models with no traction. What you have to do instead is call your store and if it's TW they will replace your CBs 4.3 no questions asked under "manufacturer defect". Not under sole warranty (that still can apply later mind you).

    I DID it (once)

Both kinds of warranties btw and you also can just drop the shoes at any UPS store in US, free returns.

But what I do now, is just sew back the damn lace holder (it happens on each of my third pair or so). Tighten your shoe laces progressively :)

So even if the 6 month sole warranty has passed, TW might honor a replacement if the lace holders have broken? I bought my 3.3 ballistics just under a year ago, but the lace holders have broken a few months ago. Think I'll have any luck if I contact TW?

    Thanks.

Defects covered for 2 years. If TW wont honor it (which I am fairly certain they will) Nike will replace them.

I haven't had the lacing trouble since the gray / peach version but I had the heel crack in 2 pairs this year. 1 of which was a warenty replacement and I got a replacement for them aswell.

    Regards,
    Josh
