On TV today, his socks had 2 swooshes. They didn't seem to be on one pair either.
shhh, you just found one of nike's new ad techniques!
yes two pairs
Dodge B Series history
Most players worth their salt wear tow pairs, good for comfort and perspiration wicking.
I hear that wearing two pairs reduces the fricton from the foot and shoe.
And to prevent blisters to the thing you have mentioned.
i noticed that today too, but it was only really visible on one leg. i thought it some kinda superstitious thing, but ive never known fed to do something like that. the above comments make a lot of more sense.
Yea, blister prevention.
I've gotten so many blisters on my feet before becoz I was too lazy to put on two socks before I went to play tennis =\
Next people will be asking if he wears 2 pairs of underwear.
oh well . still wont help you play like federer
The logic is astounding.
I have to say the socks get thinner and thinner / shorter and shorter (no see socks). Nike used to make thick tennis socks (what Hewitt used to wear about 4 years back). I still have a pair of these and they are great!
Failing to find anything cushy, double socks is the way to go.
I guess I'm lucky then. I don't even wear tennis shoes to tennis and I've never gotten a blister.
i guess thats why thorlo tennis socks exist, i always shied away from them because i figured my feet would feel like they were in a furnace in those.
Well their seems to be quite a fair amount of interest in Nadals underwear on this board, Federers wont be far away.
I wear two pairs as well. Wearing 2 pairs is very comfy, like wearing soccer socks.
To keep things cooler, I wear those little ankle socks as the first pair; it's only a little warmer, not much at all.
i hear federer puts on his pants two legs at once.
A lot of players do that.Roddick,Safin,Haas and more..Most of them tape their feet too,so it helps.
YOU Sick ANIMAL
his socks look shorter.
What's so sick about that?
