Title's a bit misleading but didn't know how to really express it.
But anyway I was listening to Matt Wilander interview where he was talking about his greatest rival and he said:
'I know that they were big matches for me and I also know that for John (McEnroe) the matches against me were nowhere near as important as the matches he played against Bjorn Borg'.

Obviously there are parallels between that situation and the Federer-Nadal
Nadal-Djokovic rivalries. Obviously it wasn't as drastic since Fed didn't retire, but do you think that Nadal thinks equally of those two rivalries or does he maybe rate Federer over his matches vs Djoker?

Both rivalries are important to Nadal, but I give the thumbs up to his rivalry with Federer.

That rivalry is what helped build his legacy. The battles with Roger on clay first allowed him to become the King of Clay, because he was the only player denying Federer complete domination of the tour. Then the back to back RG-W finals between 06-08, and the epics at W in 07 and 08, with 08 being considered by some as the greatest match of all time. Battling to take the number one - Remember the rivalry was more than just when they played each other, it was the constant drive by Nadal year after year to take the number one spot and turn him into an all time great.

i've never heard Nadal call Djokovic one of the best players of all time, which he has said several times about Federer. BUT, Djokovic has beaten Nadal a few key times stopping him from getting slams.

In terms of status and prestige, Nadal's rivalry and track record against Federer is one of the defining parts of his image and standing as a great player. If he crushes Djokovic several times when he comes back it won't be as great an achievement.

I don't know what matters more to him. Can't really tell unless he has said anything to that effect.

I think the Nadal-Federer rivalry has been going on longer. If Nadal and Djokovic were to continue to have matches like the 2012 Austrailan Open for a few more years then that would be a rivalry. Another thing about Nadal and Federer is the tennis public loves those players. Djokovic created some bad blood amongst the general tennis public and that can effect a rivalry.

The Federer-Nadal thing is more defining clearly.

The Federer-Nadal rivalry is longer and more important than the Djokovic-Nadal rivalry. Nadal was already on the decline by the time Djokovic started to dig his heels in, because the very next year he had an early loss at Wimbledon (2012) and withdrew the rest of the year (has also just withdrawn from the 2013 AO).
