I have donated maybe a dozen racquets to them over the last 4 years. You might find one of them.

Salv Army rules for rackets. And they are all $4 at the one near me, vs. $8 or more at Goodwill.

I got a set of Mizuno forged cavity back irons (3-pw) there the other day for $11.

why don't you just go there and see for yourself?

didn't you know every single location of salvation army has the exact same number and type of awesome older rackets for dirt cheap all the time?

Realize that you have to be very, very lucky to score anything of value at these kind of thrift stores. Most of the time you will just see a lot of junk, but patience is rewarded.

you never know what they will have. you have to go there at least once a week to check what they have. the odds of getting any "modern" racquet are very small. salvation army is just a bunch of junk that people throw out of their houses.

just go there, you'll see what it's like. maybe you'll find a st.vincent...

Yeah, you're not going to find newer rackets there. Mostly it's good for finding funky old rackets. I got a Donnay Borg Ceremic Midsize the other day for instance. Got a aluminum Yonex with an uber thin beam a while back that was fun to try out. Once in a while you'll get something nice. Basically, I stop in once every week or two. It's on my way home from work. I go straight for the sporting good corner. In and out in a couple minutes if nothing is worth checking out.
