Does TW Europe Ship To The States?/Received First TWE Order

I briefly checked the page and didn't see if they do[IMG]

Update:placed my first order on July 12th and the delivery date was estimated for Friday the 19th on TWE. When tracking with FedEx, it gave the delivery estimate for Wednesday the 17th.
Well, it arrived today and I'm quite happy that I didn't have to pay customs[IMG]

Yes they do......some items can't ship due to manufacturer restrictions - use the outside EU tab on getting the correct price and shipping.

Thanks gavna. I did click on the outside EU but I thought it might be for other countries not in the EU but still part of Europe. To be honest, I'm not sure what those countries are though:) Also, the price was still in Euros.

I'm loving some of the Babolat apparel they have!

It will always be in Euros.......just do a quick conversion - use XE converter online......FYI shipping will run you on avg $35 and takes just under a full week.

Also don't forget to count import tax too.

What did you buy and how much.........why would you have to pay 30% tax? I've bought stuff the last few years from 30€ all the way to 200€ - never charged a cent.
    Who charged 30% duty?

There is some exceptions per a year ( can't remember how much).
Probably I bought about 200 euro. Basically, FedEx acts as an import broker too.
FedEx hold my package and wanted to have all the information in order to release from US custom such as address etc... then us custom releases the package. A few weeks later, I received the import tax duty bill which were almost 30% including brokerage fee.

The import tax rates are varied by items.
I bought polos and shirts but the rates were based on content of fabrics.

Fedex are notorious for screwing people with duties. While I haven't ordered through TWE, I've ordered plenty from overseas to CA and never been charged duty.

UPS and Fedex screw you by charging brokerage fees. Pretty much they're just ridiculous add on charges for all extra work involved (sarcasm) in having your package cross the border. If you can have the items delivered by regular post, you won't have these fees.

Have received a lot of packages from different countries but most of them have been for cheap things (DVDs) and have been delivered by USPS. Haven't had to pay customs yet.

If I do get anything, I may ask for help from someone over in Europe

A year or two ago I ordered some items from TWE totaling over $200.

A couple of weeks later I received a letter from FEDEX. It was a bill for import tax or whatever garbage of reason.

The funny thing is that FEDEX had a copy of TWE's invoice and included it in their letter.

I tried ignoring it, but FEDEX sent 2 more letters with threats to go to collection agency. So I just paid it off.

FEDEX charges arrive about 1 month later, and can be very significant.
It seems to be only happening with TWE/FEDEX combination. I ordered from other sites in Europe, and it never happened before. Stranger yet, the delivery was even faster than with FEDEX (for all their "fees" and costs...).

gavna, how much was the shipping? I just put a Lotto T-shirt in my cart and proceeded to check out and the shipping was going to be 17 Euros[IMG]

I wonder if we could start a thread about TWE group buys to split up the shipping costs[IMG]

Thinking about placing my first TWE order tonight but I'll sleep on it and see what I decide tomorrow.

This is true. Has anyone ever had to pay customs on international packages being delivered via USPS.

I do know someone in Germany that would get free shipping from TWE and could pass it on via their local postal service but they would have to VAT on the items.

    Well, it's just a thought:)

Well after some internal debate, I just placed my first order with TWE. The total came out to just under 80 Euros. I should be receiving it on the 19th so I will come back around that time with an update on whether or not I had to pay customs.
