I just saw the above link, which I hadn't noticed before.

I've just won a Trademe auction for a coded Donnay.

    859.12

The seller said it was a "Procomposite". Will tell you what it's like when I get it.

P.S. I haven't checked all of them, but I don't think any of my current Donnays have codes.

P.P.S. I wasn't going to buy this, but when I saw this thread, I thought to myself "Gotta have a coded Donnay!" LOL

When i have the time i will post a lot more codes if you want, i have manyyyyyyy!
Anyway, about the codes, i finally have some insight.
It was basically an inventory code, there is some logic in the codification for short time period but not much. Some models have a code some models don't.
The codes started at about 1976 on wood models and ended in the early 90's.
Note that Donnay also numbered some very early woodies (not a code but a number).

Hi guys, I have the following,
    2 x Pro Cynetic 1
    2 x Pro Cynetic 12
    1 x Pro Ceramic
    1 x Mid 725
None of them with codes, I think that they were made in Brazil. Did they only have codes if they were made in Belgium?

ericcson, my latest Donnay has a code of 859.12. It says "Pro Composite" on the top of the hoop, but I can't find any reference to that model.

On the side of the handle, it says "Exclusively for Harrods, Knightsbridge". I assume it was distributed "exclusively" to that store. Do you happen to know anything more about it?

Hi Virginia, it doesnt ring a bel, does the racket has a name model? or just pro composite? it could be one of those models made from a famous mold just for that shop, it is not listed in the official catalogue though, i have about nearly every model they've made listed.

No, nothing else at all, other than Donnay Graphite on the side of the handle.

And extremely rare is the metal fischer speghetti strung that had "W Fischer" on the plastic throat.
Werner Fischer played it and Nastase used a Head Aluminium racquet variant to break the Vilas record and get that racket outlawed.
    Sorry about the tangent ...

    I will try later.
It's marine-blue with red and silver stripes. Got Bjorn Borg signature just above the handle.
It was my first grafhite racquet, before played only w/woodies. My parents bought it in Australia in 1986 and brought to Moscow. There were not so many composte sticks in Moscow then. In comparison with woody it was very easy to play with it. Unfortunately i broke it after two years, never get the same. I realy love it, was a big Borg fan.

    Graphite Fluo 857.50

I don't see this one on the list:

I have not been able to locate another "Graphite Fluo", but there is a "Fluo Graphite" on the bay right now, which did away with the hot pink accent but kept the glitter, and is very likely the same racquet under the paint.

Given that '857.50' falls between "Tiffany" (857.42) and "Diamant" (857.52), and since all three frames (as well as the "Turbo Comfort") appear to come out of the same mold, perhaps '857' was a code for "posh ladies"? :)

    It's a nice frame though.
