Dr. Adrian Rogers passed away earlier today after a long battle with cancer.
He was the long time Pastor or Bellvue Baptist Church in Memphis Tenn. (the largest baptist church in America) and is the founder of "Love Worth Finding Ministries"
He was an awesome Man of God and a great human being who devoted his life to ministy and helping others. I'll miss hearing his smooth voice and encouraging words and really admired his humble spirit.

I know there's gotta be a few people here on TW who have herd Dr. Rogers over the past 40 years.
He's in a better place now and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jonas, I am from Memphis. I am not a member of Bellevue but am familiar with the Bellevue Baptist and what Dr. Rogers has done here in the community. I drive past Bellevue everyday to and from work and the tennis courts! Your right, Dr. Rogers was an awesome man of God and his ministry will live on spreading the word of God long past when we are gone. Nice to see your mention of him. My family's prayers are going out to Dr. Roger's family.

Thanks for sharing the news with us.

He is one of the few TV preachers that I respect, and I consider him one of the best preachers of the century.

Sad to hear he is gone, but he lived a life worth living. I guess I'll have to wait till I meet him in heaven.

Thanks for posting. Dr. Rogers has been a great inspiration in my life and to the lives of my family members. I was born in memphis and attended Sunday School there untill age 4 (when we moved to FLA), even to this day you can walk through my parents den/living room and have a pretty good shot at catching Dr. Rogers giving a message on the TV. What he has done for the Memphis Tenn area and for the cause of Christ in general has been phenominal. His ministry will carry on while sadly on this earth he will not.
Dr. Rogers is a big shot in the Christian community, but had a humbleness and meekness about him that was undeniable.
Thoughts a prayers are with the Rogers family
