Has anyone tried the new Dunlop Biomimetic F5.0 Tour? I currently have the 4D 500. There are 2 things I'm not a big fan about the 4D 500 is the small sweetspot and the fact that the strings move so much because of the 16X18 pattern - though I love the spin, the strings just wear out or loose tension too quickly.
Well it seems they corrected that on the new version so I would like to know what people think of it compared to previous versions. Does the different shape impact on how the racket feels? And how about the balance change?

    Strange.
I've been using 3 Aero500's for a couple of years, and the sweetspot is bigger than on my 200's...and my strings don't move at all. I use LuxilonBBLite at 52 lbs., strung by TW.
Worse, I hit harder and with more spin than most 4.0's, and my second serve is one of the biggest even up to 5.0.
The reason I play so badly is that I can't run at all, and can't put weight on my left ankle, me being a lefty.

Well you are comparing the sweetspot of a 100 inch with a 95 inch and I assume the old 200 had the same skinny shape. You need to compare with another stick of the same size and anyways, it's already well documented that Dunlop sticks used to have a smaller sweetspot. And I'm not trying to argue that my strings are moving or not. They simple ARE moving after 3-4 days of playing and I too use poly. I like the open pattern for the spin but it just simply moves too much, too early for my taste even though I string it at 60-62lbs. I don't want to have to re-string too often. I always thought it would be better with a 16x19 and they finally did it so I'm happy. And I really don't care about people's rating. I'm 4.5 and i think of myself to be very average ;)

So back to the topic: How do you like the F5.0 and how does it compare to the previous version?

Well, here in SanFrancisco, if a 4.5 showed up to a public tennis court, he would be god. Not average, but way superior to the regulars out there.
