Dunlop racquet technology?

The Aeroskin is a technology update as big as a new paintjob!
Do they really think we are that stupid...
It rather stops than encourages me to buy a new Dunlop frame.
But what about the MoS2 grommets, do they really do someting?
Has Dunlop actually come up with anyting new in the last few years?
I've been using the 4D 100 sine they come out and just wondering now if the last updates are woth a try?

the new line is a departure from the more traditional feel of dunlop frames making them faster and more modern. if you really like the feel of the old dunlop then the new series will likely be a disappointment. I believe that playability has been enhanced but it is a different animal. This is not your father's dunlop.

95% of racquet technologies are bull....
Aeroskin is just one of them.
But award for most stupid technology clearly belongs to Volkl for their optispot.

All racquet technologies are a load of crap... Babolat's cortex, Head's "graphene", Wilson's amplifeel. But I play with the f 3.0 tour and actually think it plays really good.

Nope. I left in 2005 ;)

Hey, not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but I was thinking of ordering a stick from you guys for my birthday, about how long does it take to make the racquet? I know it'd probably take awhile for shipping too. I'm really interested in your racquets

yeah, heard that they have the classic version of the 300s series. wondering if dunlop is applying the classics to the 200s.

so far there is only bio 200 replacement confusingly named m200 classic (should be f200 and the one in the new line should be f 2.0 by the way without the unnecessary tour, now if they decide to make the bio 200 tour replacement later on it will get even messier)

I bought the bio300 and liked it so much I bought a second as back up a few days later just in case they changed it, which they did. But the classic range seems to be very similar. And I agree on the aeroskin point, I cannot see that it makes any difference to warrant being classed as an improvement and I'm a huge Dunlop fan. But it is handy to rub the inside of your palm against if it gets itchy....it's a very pleasant tickle.

I have to agree, the 200 tour is quite the stick. I hesitated a long time because of the scary SW, turned out to be a gem. Technology? Gimmicks, like everything else.

They switched to a more oval head shape, and 100 sq inches for most of them I think. String patterns changed accordingly...so yeah they are pretty different racquets.

actually you have it backwards. the aeroskin is real. you can see and feel it. the grommets is just teflon like head did some years ago

ISIS handle (above the handle, to be exact) was, along with Wilson's Triad, one of the best advances in racquet technology to address the problem of shock and vibration.
