Andy had a much too easy time with Scoville last night. It was to be expected, but I am curious to see what effect, if any, it will have on his 2nd round matchup with Nadal, who will be a much tougher opponent. A hard 4 setter can wear down a top player too early in a tourney, but an opponent that doesn't put up with much of a fight can affect a player in a bad way. In any event, the Nadal/Roddick match should be a good one if Nadal can keep up a high level of play.

I don't think Roddick's easy first round should matter. This would be the same as if he had a bye into the 2nd round.

Commentators were saying that Nadal is the only guy that could be dangerous for Roddick in his quarter. If Roddick gets past Nadal he can relax until the semis.

Nadal is coming back from injury this year though ..... so I don't expect him to upset Roddick. It would be nice if he did though.
