he's in the 3rd round, anyone know if he's related to Christophe Roger-Vasselin, a French player that beat Connors in the '83 French Open?

on atp tennis, they are both listed as 6'2", 165 ilbs

I think I heard on French TV they are indeed father and son. The father lost the semi final of Roland Garros (probably '83?) against Yanick Noa, then Noa went on to win the championship. That's what I remember I heard on TV.

you heard it right, they are father and son... they were both interviewed on french TV.

on this occasion, they showed the ultimate point of the match where his dad eliminated connors (1st seed) 64 64 76 in the QF in 1983... before indeed being trashed 63 60 60 by yannick noah in the SF !
(noah served 4 bagels during the whole tournament... the other "victims" being lendl and jarryd)
