I was wondering if anyone had a link to any articles about the effect of using poly strings in mains with synthetic gut in crosses versus syn. gut in mains and poly in the crosses with everything else being the same. Appreciate any help in this regard.

No link but I can tell you through experience that the strings you use in the mains have the predominate playing characteristics.

In my Pro Red Code / Multifeel setup, it seems that the PRC gives me alot of power for my serves. My ground strokes are very controlled. Are the vertical strings on a given stroke the predominant strings where power is concerned?

Thanks for the input. I would be most interested is someone had done tests using the same racket and string tensions, but reversing the poly/synthetic gut from mains/crosses to crosses/mains, etc. Knowing how the racket's performance changed as a result was my main interest. More or less spin, power, control, etc. Guess there isn't any analysis of this to date.
