energy drinks... good for tennis?

    I've tried energy drinks before, not for sports, just for when you need that boost of energy, like staying up all night for a term paper or something. I'm not too worried about carbonation, just whether or not caffiene/whatever the %*#@ else they put in those little, overpriced cans. Any response would be much appreciated.

    Do you mean energy drinks like Jolt which juices you up with caffeine? Or carb, sodium/potassium based drinks like Gatorade?

    I meant energy drinks like AMP, Red Bull, Rockstar. I've just called gatorade and others sports drink. By energy drink I mean caffeinated, normally very highly.

    Personally I think it could help you in a morning match if you morning play is not your cup of tea and you got little sleep.

    But a limitation is that, caffeine constricts your blood vessels - it makes you tense.

    Meaning you could lose some fluidity on your shots, and the elasticity of your service motion.
