What are Nike's trademark lawyers making of this, I wonder?

Well the Li-Ning and Anta logo looks like the Brooks logo as well. Even more than this and Nike.

If enough people see it on TV and think it's a Nike Swoosh, it just might be good for Nike's business.

Definitely Mizuno, minus the bottom of the logo.

I was thinking today that the redbull logo has blatently been stolen from Elesse sports. The redbull logo is basically the ellesse logo but with two bulls buttings the yellow bit.

I'm not sure Nike / Mizuno / whoever would share your sangfroid.

I guess it's well known that certain Chinese corporates are, shall we say, somewhat less fastidious about trademark issues than some of their Western competitors, but I would have thought that when they cross over to Western markets, that this would become a big issue for them....apparently not (yet).

The culture in China is also different.....imitation is a way to express admiration, even in business. Nike's lawyers will do what lawyers do -- churn the account and send bills. But the point is that it can benefit Nike if it looks as if more pros are wearing their clothes, assuming the imitation is not hideous.

No no...it has to look hideous, in order to look like the recent Nike stuff :)

Vaguely apropos: when I was in Mauritius, I saw a top with both Nike and Adidas logos on...now I'm kicking myself for not having bought it...a rare collaborative effort :)

Brooks has been around ~55 years longer and Mizuno ~65 years longer than Nike.

This Erke logo is really similar to the Nike one.
I have never heard about this brand.
