    Now Roddick is out.
Nadal, Djokovic, Joachim Johansson, Asian number one Lee and home favourite Paradorn Srichaphan have already pulled out.
Berdych is now the only top-10 player left in the competition.

I think some people will come back with the scheduling issues from early in the ATP year and how guys seems to hang off towards the end from fatigue or needing a longer break or something. I would just think it's a great disappoint for the directors who organized and got 'yes' but in the end top ones are falling away, as well as the fans hoping to see some higher ranked guys, and especially like Djokovic who really made a noticeable improvement public view wise and everything this year.

I can understand these pull out, i didn't expect none of these players to show up in Thailand after tough Davis Cup matches.

Man. I saw all the pullouts in the Pro Section results. I think part of it has to do with scheduling. And now with all the rules where players have to commit to tournaments or get penalized, they are going to have plan out their schedule very wisely.

God, I can't stand him. He does not understand. Adding more weeks won't do anything when everyone is to tired expect Davydenko to play. Then he will just have to add, penalties for not showing up:roll:

It´s always tough to play the week after Davis Cup especially if most of the players have such a long trip to Thailand just to play a minor tournament at this stage of the year. Top players are fatigued and they prefer to take some rest before the european indoor season and Masters Cup. I think this tournament should be played one week later.

I think its good the players withdrew from the thailand open....whether or not they are actually injured,....who cares...they will be rested for like the last 2 masters events (out of which they will likely play only 1) and the season ending masters cup, or soon to be known as world tour final

Is the London World Tour Final still for the 8 top players? or for all players?

The Masters Cup in London is for the top 8 tours only.

Similar disappointment for the organizers of Rogers Cup in Toronto (Tier 1 WTA )this summer. Too close to USO. But this tournament had some great tennis despite only Henin being there. (no maria, Venus, Serena, Mauresmo). And the people did come to it.

i think the thailand open's gonna become a challenger event... but the doubles here at the 'open is great! last night i watched karlovic/haggard against mahut/llodra ... that was a good doubles match it was quite close

but the singles here is gonna be quite easy for some of the top players since everyone's pulled out.

Well at least we'll all get to see Federer winning Tokyo, Madrid, Basel and Shanghai, to end the year with a 34 match winning streak.

This tournament is not going to be on TV in USA. Tokyo i mean. Fed will probably win 2 out of 4 of these. I don't think fed will take these tournament seriously.
