Has anyone had their varicose veins removed?
A friend of mine has the worst varicose veins ever on his leg and he is wondering about going through the surgery required to remove them.
He is 32. But has heard some horror stories from people who still feel pain after the procedures 5 months down the line some even 8 months.

Have trouble running doing any strenous exercise. After research he found out you can have them removed through laser, a foam injection or stripping. He has large veins and so can only go through the stripping which is a 3 hr operation. Before he pulls the trigger he wants to know whether anyone else has gone through this procedure and if so have been able to resume tennis say a month after the procedure and running normally.

The horror stories he heard have really......One person even said their leg never felt the same and they feel continous numbness in the leg. And bleeding. So anyone who has any info it would be most welcome.
