He has a clear path to the 4th round. Could meet Tsonga there, then Murray in the quarters. The Round of 16 is almost a lock

I remember that Guga Kuerten never did well at the AO. His best result was the 3rd round - once. He also lost in the second round 5 times, and the 1st round twice. Yet, he made the Wimbledon QFs (once) and the USO QFs (twice). Not to mention he won the indoor year end championships.

You would think Rebound Ace would have been the best surface for him other than clay. But, it may simply be that some players aren't ready at the beginning of the year, or maybe a combination of bad play, unfavorable matchups.

Soderling is certainly capable of beating Tsonga and Murray, but Nadal is where his fun stops. Soderling will reach the QF or SF but not further.

Did you see them play in I think it was Indian Wells? Murray was hit off the court.

    The reverse happened at WTF.

Thing is, if Murray plays well, he should take care of Soderling in routine fashion. Plus Soderling can get frustrated easily..

Murray was in a slump. He lost to everybody and anybody. Last time these to met Murray ousted him, look for the same to happen.

One thing is for sure, Soderling losing in the 1st round last year, just ensures he will move further infront of Murray in the points tally, since of course Murray lost in the final.

I think, if Murray - Soda QF happens, Murray wins easily, he toyed with him at WTF.

Lot of things being called certain here that aren't.

It's not a certainty that Soderling will reach the QF -- he could be upset before then. It's happened to him quite a bit at the AO as mentioned.

Also not a certainty that he gains vis a vis Murray in the points tally. If Murray wins in AO, and Soderling loses before the final, Murray will gain on him.

You know what, it could happen. Murray did not impress me yesterday. I have no idea about Rafa's playing, he barely had to play yesterday,
