What are some startling facts about RF?
He has won 17 GS and is currently #1 at age of 31.
He's 2-8 in slams against Rafael Nadal. I think that's a pretty startling fact.
How many weeks at #1 has he been??
297th week this is i think.
Considering that most of those happened in Nadal's backyard...
23 Consecutive Semi Finals at Grand Slams
He doesn't have a Swiss Birth Certificate and must resign his presidency of the Players Council.
He has reached a stage where his body's internal temp. adjusts to the outside temp. so that he never sweats.
He is the only male player ever to have reached the title match of each Grand Slam tournament at least five times
to be honest that fact i put out there isn't startling as everyone knows this already, sorry guys
Federer is widely considered the greatest tennis player of all time.
Roger Federer has an unlimited data plan and still exceeds the package - funny fact
Also his thread can have 4 views and 12 replies haha
Wait, what did you say? Source?
Inexplicably, he has been on the cover of Sports Illustrated..........once. That's right, arguably the most dominant male athlete in sports history has been on the cover of Sports Illustrated as many times as Anna Kournikova has.
F***ing ridiculous. He had to win fifteen slams before the geniuses at SI decided he was worthy of a cover story.
Roger Federer didn't make it past the 1st round in the 2002 Wimbledon, 1-year before he started his 5-year winning run there.
Most people know this already but it is startling.
Federer is the only player in history who'd be considered greater had he lost more (and won less)
That's because Federer is not an American athlete. In 2006, Fed had one of the most dominant year in sport history, yet, Dwyane Wade was named Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year.
Ok, but just between you and me
He was on it after Wimbledon 2008 and FO 09.
Another startling fact is that Federer has crushed Nadal EVERY time they have played at the WTF.
10-19 vs the real GOAT.
"Nationality: NOT Switzerland"
Haha, exactly my sense of humor, thanks for that, bro!
Did I miss something?
He has sex with a Goat??
That's pretty startling (especially for the Goat)!!
Some say his testes face magnetic northeast and that he can understand tha language of the common ant.
Before he knew Mirka he looked like this:
I hope I haven't derailed this thread too much
Players don't even know or care what their H2Hs are with people unless the media keeps shoving it down their throat. But would any player ever forget how many grand slam titles or years ended at #1 they had? Lol no. Your argument is stupid. Players live for their accomplishments and glory, not just to focus their energy on one player match-up while being relatively inconsistent against the rest of the field compared to him.
Scario 1: Roger is playing great and Rafa is playing so-so If they meet Roger will likely win... Roger gets to semis or finals while Rafa loses in 3rd round so they don't even meet
Scenario 2: Rafa is playing great but Roger is playing so-so, if they meet Rafa will probably win. Roger playing so-so still makes it into the QF/Semis and maybe even finals so they do meet and Rafa wins
This is why their head to head is so skewed, when Roger would have likely won Rafa didnt even make it far enough to face him but Roger almost ALWAYS got far enough for them to meet when it was the other way around.
Roger Federer is the only man to have bagelled Rafael Nadal on 3 different surfaces (namely clay, grass, and indoor hard). Very impressive feat I would say.
When asked in the presser after the Hamburg bagel why, Nadal said: "Weil er unglaublich ist" (it was in german translation).
Rafael hasn't beaten Roger on Indoor courts.
Roger has beaten Rafael twice on Clay courts.
Federer was so far ahead of the field in 2006 that you could remove all the points he won in the 4 grand slams, and he still would have been #1.
Separate names with a comma.
