I just got a used YT IG Instinct MP, from a TT member, and there is some question in my mind whether this is legit. First, the racquet specs from TW says the racquet is 5pts headlight, however, the racquet feels like even balance. Also, the print on the racquet says it is 1'' headlight (or 320mm) balance. I've uploaded a few photos, can you YT IG Instinct MP users help me determine whether my stick is legit? Thanks!!

I'm interested in this to because I just got 2 YTPP online. One was a demo from a reputable sports dealer so I'm positive it is real. On TW it also says the racquet is 4-5pts HL but in the throat it reads only 1pt headlight.

Those are unstrung specs you are looking at. The balance shifts towards the head when you add the mass of the strings.

tymmh789, I have no explanation for what's on your racquet.

so both of yours say 1pt headlight? Is anybody else experiencing the same problem? Could it be that the balance on TW specs are unstrung and strung balance is different?

Deuces, I guess you answered my question before I even asked :). Can someone else confirm this?

The specs you see on Tennis Warehouse are string specs. The specs you see on racquets are unstrung specs unless specified. When the racquet is strung, the balance changes.

I'm not very bright, so I'm a little confused here. If an unstrung racquet is 1'' headlight, with strings on, I would think it makes it even balance or head heavy. How could a racquet be 1'' headlight unstrung and 5'' headlight strung?

Brittany, do you know on top of your mind whether it says 1'' on the IG Instinct MP? If that's the case, I'm happy to move on and you can ignore my silly question :). Thanks!

Yeah, it doesn't make much sense to me either as the string should make the stick more head heavy.

But look at this picture. Seems to have the same printing.

Just checked our playtest racquet and it does say 1" HL on the racquet as well.

You're confusing Points headlight and Inches headlight. The racket says 1" headlight unstrung (this is 8points headlight, 1point = 1/8 inch), and TW says the strung racket is 5points headlight (not inches)

Reply from boomerTennis: "No wonder the stringer was telling me that 50pt HL racket is not a good thing..."
