Today I found a 2nd 4 strips POG OS in a store, when I want to have it purchased, the boss told me it's a fake (he's a quite famous stringer in my area).

He also told me how to determine it's fake or not
    1) the 4 strips in fake one colored dull, while the real one is very sharp.
    2) the 3rd cross grommet from bottom is wider for real.

Anyone heard about this and are these fake racquets very common?

Fake racquets, very common. Fake POG? First time I've heard of that, very disturbing since I am a dedicated POG OS user. I've always thought the majority of fakes were of current models.

Why would the boss of the store be selling fake racquets?

The store just provides a place for customers to trade between other customers, and charge some commission.

The fake racquet is a 2nd hand old one, I dun think it's manufactured nowadays.

BTW anyone has ever seen the fake one (with dark green strips rather then sharp one)
