Just want to make a thread with a collection of great rock songs; emo/screamo/mathcore/posthardcore/death/heavy metal/grunge/oldschool/instrumental/Hybrid.....No limits!

    Protest the Hero - Bloodmeat
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhMfz4HrcEA

Breaking Benjamin - Diary of jane
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWaB4PXCwFU&ob=av3e

A day to remember - I'm made of Larry wax what are you made of?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T44mKEhfb4

Tera Melos - Last smile for Jason
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P44fcwlf-DE

    Buckethead - Soothsayer
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adV8-_hgL4g

Yeah, these songs are pretty different from each other, sad that some bands have broken up. Rock music was always for a small minority, but it seems it's at it's least popular stage. Sorry if a thread has already been created, feel free to post links!

Rush - Tom Sawyer, YYZ, La Villa Strangiato, Working Man, Fly by Night, Subdivisions, Limelight

Alice in Chains - Would, I Stay Away, No Excuses

Ozzy- Mr Crowley, Over the Mountain, Shot in the Dark

Dethklok, lol, I hope we have Metalocalypse watchers here

Lots and lots more, but I can't always think of it.

Judas Priest - Another Thing Comin' (or anything else they ever released)

Iron Maiden - Run to the hills. (or anything else they ever released)

    Metallica - Fuel

The Clash - Clampdown (or anything else they ever released)

    Danko Jones - First Date

Too many more to list, but if I stranded on a deserted island, I'd need the above as a minimum.

Covered We Die Young at a show three nights ago, great fun. Currently just enjoying all and everything from Clutch. As ever. White's Ferry in particular though.

Huge "The Cult" fan - although all of their albums have had flashes of brilliance, "Love" has "She Sells Sanctuary" and "Rain", "Electric" has "Love Removal Machine", and "Sonic Temple" is just and album of oodles and oodles of pure, unadulterated gold.

Moving on to the more "hard core" rock, Queensr├┐che is some preee-tty special stuff. "Jet City Woman", "Another Rainy Night Without You" and "Breaking the Silence" would be my favourite tracks.
The Sisters of Mercy are great as well, "This Corrosion" is absolutely legendary.

    DEM LINKS!

Saw Rush last summer. Geddy is getting a bit thin but otherwise they still put on a great show.

Steely Dan too, but you said "rock" and they ain't that, (but then again the Beatles aren't either...)

The Beatles are rock, all be it light. Cesc actually did something right for once. I'm pretty 'lax with the song choices (any form of rock and beyond goes!)

    Good songs, keep em comming:)!

Well, everyone I know (musicians I might add) considers the Beatles to be rock, maybe not like the Stones or Metallica but they had their own styles. I don't listen to Elton John.

Of course the beatles are rock. It doesn't have to be some clown screaming down a microphone to be rock.

Your first premise is correct, but these people aren't clowns. Far from it. Most people who listen to post-hardcore would put Thomas Erak as a top 5 musician from this era (happens to scream/sing/play guitar, drums & keyboards). Definately not a clown.
