    Have a look at this.

One quarterfinal has been decided and look at the overwhelming result for Sampras over Federer. Remember this is asking how each player would do against eachother at their peak. I'm a Sampras fan and voted for him. More results will follow over the next days if you click on the link. You can even vote if you wish.

There's been a big debate during Wimbledon about the two guys. A lot of the media go for Federer (not all media though). However, most of the public when interviewed are still behind Pete. What do you think out there?

Well it is FANTASY tennis :D so here's my $0.02 -

Love to watch both these guys, worship Pete, and think that Pete in his prime would have beaten Roger in his prime, were they to play on grass or fast hardcourts.

Federer's fast feet would do Sampras in. Remember how Pete lost to Lleyton one year because Lleyton outhustled him?

Nobody would beat Sampras at his prime... come on now.

7 titles in 8 years is no joke. 6 years straight is no joke. I'd be shocked if Federer even wins 3 in a row.

The grass court talent pool was deep during Sampras' time too. Becker, Goran, Rafter, Richard Kracjek (always mess up that name), and of course Henman. Sampras denied all these guys many times over of titles.

Lleyton beat a really off - form and old Sampras. Had it been a 4 years younger Sampras, Lleyon would have been crushed and squashed to bits outright! Federer's fast feet would also have no answer to Sampras's deadly serves and pure power...Sampras was and still the KING of Tennis.

The greatest wimbledon player till now is of course Sampras, just look at his results. People are only doing this meaningless comparison because of the tennis Federer played to win last year and they think they had seen the next Sampras. Way too early for such speculation.

Just one point, many seem to have forgotten Federer did beat Sampras the only time they played in 2001 wimbledon. Of course we can say that wasn't Sampras at peak, but that probably wasn't Federer's as well.

But still a meaningless discussion at this stage, bump this thread only when Federer actually wins his 5th wimbledon title.
