Its very interesting tat it takes me longer to break strings with different rackets. Even with producing a similar ball i break a syn gut in a k6.1 95 in a week while it will take me 1.5 weeks with an apd. What rackets break strings fastest and why.

well the more open the string pattern, the faster you will break strings

What's the pattern for the K6.1 you've been using?

POG longbody for sure. string movement is crazy after every topspin shot.

Prince TT Graphite MP. 16 main racquet, but extremely low string density in the hitting area. POG Longbody goes through strings quickly, but my TT Graphite sneaks into my closet and shreds my strings while they are still on the reel.

Depends on operator too. If they normally have a real fast swing speed, hit with extreme spin every stroke and typically hit the ball in the general vicinity most of the time, it's sure they'll snap strings very quickly.

Head flexpoint and microgel radical tour eats strings quickly. But I think the biggest string eater is the Volkl DNX1 Powerarm.

ooh yes, the POWER ARM! I demoed one just for laughs, and even a slight brushing topspin sent the mains all over the place.

IMO, it's the K6.1 95 string 16x18. This racquet offers a lot in all power, control, spin friendly, big serve, excellent volley but on the other hand, it breaks strings so quickly. I had it strung with Luxilon Timo 17 main at 57 lbs and Live Wire Pro 16g cross at 60 lbs, and the string on cross broke on 3th day as i play everyday, 2 and 1/2 hrs each day. Then i had it strung with Luxilon Power Rough at 57 lbs, and the string broke in exactly 7th day. I had it strung again with Lux Power Rough at 55 lbs, and the string broke again in 7th day. I decided to sell it and go back to my Head Flexpoint Prestige MP before i could be broken for the string job.

Aerogel 500 tour has returned me to my string breaking roots. I use it as a casual hitter, though. I picked up a pair of AG200 Euros, so even though the pattern is different, I get much better string life (much more dense in the hitting area)

another vote for the o3 white... not just coz of string movement but there are a few grommet holes with no caps (dont know what prince were thinking) which shred strings.

i have to agree. i feel sorry for string breakers. one PHT full lasts me 3 months plus, feels nice when dead. then i hear about people who have 18 Ksixones and restring more than weekly.

POG Mid...I switched away from it because I couldnt keep a set of strings in there for more than 1.30 hours! (that and I didnt like it at net). Full Big Banger ALU lasted me just over an hour and a half.

I found the Wilson 6.1 stuff to be string eaters (I had the Pro Staff Classic, and was getting 2 hours out of a set of string). I'm thankful I switched to an 18x20 - I've cut down my string breaking ways.

POG 93 " and Graphite II Midplus.

14 x 18 string patterns demand a new set of string every time i play :)
