2005 was the Year of the Sith, but do you have any favorite movies to recommend? Here are a few that I really enjoyed:

"Serenity" - I was a fan of the TV show "Firefly" so when they made it into a movie I was geeked. A fast paced, humorous sci-fi movie that brings back the fun of the original Star Wars.

    "Cinderella Man" - Pure tearjerker.

"Capote" - Documents the research behind Truman Capote's thriller "In Cold Blood".

"King Kong" - A little long, and the first hour is slow, but a classic story retold with computer graphics out the yin.

Nothing in the theatres really blew me away, although I did enjoy Revenge of the Sith. I saw a lot of movies on DVD this year that have become my favourites:

Hotel Rwanda, Batman Begins, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sin City, The Interpreter, and American History X (finally overcame my fears and saw it)

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. My favorite movie this year. I absolutely loved every minute of it, it was soooo funny. It was also good to see Robert Downey Jr. back on top of his game after his troubles.

"Sin City" was an incredible movie. For comedy, I don't think anything came close to "40-year old Virgin".

'Cinderella Man' Good (true) story, good boxing scenes, good dialogue, and I wasn't a fan of Ron Howard the director...until now. Zelwigger, Crowe were outstanding.

'Kingdom Of Heaven' If you like big budget, arrows and heads flying knights in shining armour flicks with lots of action, and I do... Bloom did a swell job.

I really liked Star Wars: The Phantom ****** as it brough closure to the story that started many years ago in Star Wars: A New Hope.

I liked kingdom of heaven, if you like kung fu movies "ong bak the thai warrior" is a must see I have that one on dvd, I watched a lot more dvds than movies this year. I can't wait to see Syriana have to wait for the dvd because its a limited released, crash, and I hope to see 40 year old virgin soon.

King kong I'll wait for the dvd I just hate seeing a movie get remade two times even if the cgi in this movie kicks ***.

For those who like assasin movies I recommend "Leon the professional" and "The Boondock Saints" the latter of the two I got on dvd for christmas Leon I bought myself but had already seen just wanted to add to my collection and that movie goes in the hall of fame for assasin moves!
