if FED and NADAL were not in a tournament.... who would you root for to win the BIG trophy?
I really like to watch speedy Gonzo play these days...what a forehand!
my favorites out of your poll are hewitt and haas...and out of the young guns, andy murray
baghdatis & gasquet.
of your list, safin and gonzalez also...
And Safin jumps out to an early lead as they round the first turn...
Roddick and Blake for me....
Gonzalez obviously, and Murray.
Ancic, Robredo, Davydenko, Ljubicic = 0
These guys are truly the RODNEY DANGERFIELDS of the ATP!
ancic and blake. i always root for them anyway, though
I think Ancic is a cool player.
But you put him with the snorefest of the atp.
Nalbandian, Ljubicic and Ancic.
murray, gasquet, and safin.
I like Murray, I like Nadal. I'm kind of still waiting for the next big American player that not noly will be a Champion, but will be likable.
i would love baghdatis, safin and roddick, but i think the one who i think has the most hunger at the moment is Murray! but who knows!
Anyone who serves and volleys
Besides Fed, it has to be Justin Henin, men or women.
Safin & Gasquet for now
Observation: I don't think I have ever met anyone who doesn't like Tommy Haas! The guy is like Raymond.
Calleri. The great Gordo.
James Blake for me.
Interesting, I would have thought if anybody was removed from the SNOREFEST group it would be Robredo.... but Ancic seems the most popular of that group.
(I guess I just think he is flashier with the bandana and long hair...)
Also I would like Blake more if he didn't walk like he just got done benching 350lbs and was really proud about it.
And Murray's public consensus has drastically changed from Pusher with bad attitude, to hungry-next Grand Slam winner-do it all player.
Hewitt, i'd like to see him move his rank up a bit more though..
Safin, Safin, Safin, Safin, Haas, Gasquet, Berdych, Henman, Baghdatis. The rest of them can go to hell as far as I care
I think a mixture of Brad Gilbert getting inside his head and extra maturity that comes with age and experience has changed things for him. I think he will still always have that slice of rebel in him but it looks like he has calmed it down a bit and is now using the energy against the opponent rather that himself which is important for any player, but even more so to one who is a bit tempramental.
When Safin get's mad you know he is either going to totally self destruct, or use it positively like he did when he first started working with Lundgren. Hopefully Murray can keep things together more often than not
I really like to see Roddick do well. I think he has a lot of talent and just needs to have that "breakthrough" tournament.
