Not sure what you mean. Better-performing shirts? I would think so. Better-looking shirts? I don't see any reason to think so.

^^Wasn't that Nike? I could be wrong, but I think it was. Perhaps someone can confirm that. That was a very cool shirt, nice colors.

Apparently he hasn't retired yet, he's slated to play against Monfils in the South Africa Open.

If you really want to get into the whole adidas/Puma thing, look around for some stories on the bitter feud betwen the brothers and the town that basically was divided into camps; the pro-adidas camp and the pro-Puma camp. It got pretty ugly, from all accounts.

I wish we said "ah-dee-DAS" the right way here in the US...but yes, we butcher lots of stuff. It's our gift to humanity. :)

I don't agree. Shirts are, in general, better now than they were 20 years ago in every way, if you ask me. All I have to do is recall some of the more hideous designs from the Eighties and Nineties (the Tacchini archer shirt Sampras wore, the horrible Diadora confetti stuff Courier wore early in his career, some of the putrid Agassi stuff Nike came up with, the terrible graphics on some of the shirts adidas put Steffi Graf and Stefan Edberg in) to realize that what's going on now is, overall, much better. And the performance fabrics are a huge improvement, especially for heavy sweaters like me. I'm still struggling with the huge baggy shorts, though. What's wrong with a seven inch inseam??? Why does it have to be 10??!?

I didn't know Hewitt was on Nike.

It seems like everytime a player drops ranking Nike drops them.

Yeah, that taupe and red Federer ensemble is nice - the color is fantastic. Nike has done their best work for Roger, I must say; except for the silly stuff he's worn at Wimbledon the last couple of years, he's been consistently stylish and classy.

Can someone compare the fit of this to the Pink FO polo?

I've got an XL that is a little snug and would like to know if I can expect the same from the pink one.

The black/red Federer polo from 09 USO, despite the fact that he lost is my fav, which might be biased bc i own it.

The pink one fits exactly the same.
The sunny polo is only a little bit tighter around the chest, because of the colour band.

It is very much a grayish color. I just picked one up.

    Cheers!

I dunno, it looks like a kind of olive drab color. Grayish greenish...

    I have no idea.

I have a few shirts in that color, and really like it.

Just don't know what the heck to call it.

almost any oldschool agassi nike shirt are my favorites. i think deep down everyone loves these shirts (well, maybe not everyone). if nike released retro challenge court apparel, i think it would generally outsell whatever the current line is. people say they don't like the neon stuff, but just look at how people like the current nadal gear. i remember i got the 1990 us open polo (yellow and black with the flaming ball across the back) at marshall's for $20. dude, it was the shiz.

i think nike tries a littel too hard with nadal, but i think their fed gear lacks a little pizzaz. i think fed looked better when he was wearing the general nike line. now that he's got his own stuff, it all just kind of looks the same season after season. most of it looks alright, mind you, just not anything generally exciting. polos look the same, shorts look the same. standard issue.

I'm definitely not one of them. I still think Andre's old shirts are fugly and if they did re-relase his stuff I wouldn't buy it. But at the same time I like the current Nadal stuff.
