With the 2014 US Open drawing to a close and the last grand slam event almost in the bag, who is your favorite WTA Player this year?

Unfortunately, there is a technical limitation of 10 given to create the poll. I would have liked to have added five more, hence "other".

She's my favorite on the WTA too, but it's not easy with her stubborn playstyle. There's a reason she's gone through about half a dozen coaches in the past few years.

Cannot understand the choice of Sharapova over Kvitova.

Kvitova's win at Wimbledon was legit. She beat the best grass court player Venus in an epic match and was a clear dominant winner there.

Sharapova's 3 set win at FO over a first timer Halep does not get her any bonus point.

If Serena wins USO, she will easily have the best year amongst all.

perhaps we should wait for USO to finish.

Halep for sure. Hope she can improve next season. Got to admit I'm enjoying Woz at the USO and am gradually coming around to Bouchard

Belinda Bencic has caught my attention most this year -- only 17 and already a spitting image of Hingis out on the court. I think she has an extremely bright future and is going to do big things in the near future.

Along those lines, another up-and-comer from the junior circuit, Ana Konjuh, appears to have all the makings of a top player and so I am excited to watch this wave of talented young girls progress in the years to come.

There is no need to have a vote on this topic. We just need to see who has the most Facebook followers and that is the winner.
