Just out of curiosity, who is your favourite Bond?
My vote - Sean Connery. Peter sellers came a close second in Casino Royale

If Sean Connery had only stopped after "You Only Live Twice," it wouldn't even be close ... but he and his toupee had to do a few more. Hey, why isn't George Lazenby on this list?

I vote for Pierce Brosnan with Sean Connery a close (very close) second. I believe the new Bond will be a dud. Can you imagine a blonde Bond?

Roger Moore has been the best. Sean Connery a close second. Pierce Brosnan in third place.

Did you know that Connery has been wearing a toupe since he was in his early 20s? He started going bald in his teens - I'm not kidding!

    Vkartikv,

I did not know that about the toupees. Interesting. I guess, back then, bald guys not named Yul Brynner didn't shave their heads and call it "stylish." I didn't start noticing Connery's hairline until "Thunderball" and "You Only Live Twice." But I knew the chest hair was a "rug."

I liked Timothy Dalton because he was more of a man's man. Too bad he only lasted for like 2 Bond movies.

Sean is the original. THE original. And brutal (beating female is his specialty) My second favorite.

Lezenby is actually quite charming. If you are a fan of 007 series, you SHOULD try "Her majesty's secret service", at least the last 10 min. And he is the most athletic. He seems to know real martical art and fighting scene looks real and easy (I think he was a student of Bruce Lee)

Roger Moore is charming and funny. Very different style from Connery's but I grew up watching his version of Bond.

    Sorry, Dalton's fans.

    Sorry, Brosnan's fans.

BTW, we never had a real 'english' James Bond (Someone told me so)? How about Roger Moore?

I liked them all, except the Dalton ones, they were just as good as a 'regular' movie...

Nothing like a Sean Connery one liner or his puns. Of course, he didnt write the dialogues but his delivery was the best. As for his chest hair, the less said, the better.

I've never read the Ian Fleming books, but I was told that Roger Moore was closest in style and age to the written Bond. For one thing, Bond was English ... and Connery was obviously (well, to the English) Welsh. And Brosnan is Irish. Moore seemed more English. Bond went to Eton. The problem for me was that though every screen Bond employed stunt men, Moore seemed to employ more than the usual number. So it was always like ... "Roger Moore and his stunt men ARE James Bond." They should probably have been given principal screen credits. Lazenby worked with the best Bond girl ever ... Diana Rigg.
