My two favorites are Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova. But I also like Serena Williams, Tatiana Golovin, Emilie Loit, Guillermo Coria, Tim Henman, and Tommy Haas.

Sharapova, Daniela Hantuchova for obvious reasons. I don't enjoy WTA.

My favorite players include Pete Sampras and Steffi Graf....as for players currently playing, I like Hewitt and Davenport best I suppose.

This question requires more thought of me than I expected. ("Favorite" may not equal "best" ... may have more to do with "style" ... or "smarts" ... or "looks" ... or ...)

All Time (in order of preference -- and I watched them play)
Men: Newcombe, Nastase, McEnroe, Borg, Connors, Ashe
    Women: Goolagong, Court, Navratilova

    Current
    Men: Federer, Agassi, Haas
    Women: Clijsters, Molik, Serena

I am amazed at how much effort I put into this. Good question, hotdimsim.

Guga. I hope he makes it back, but it looks doubtful. And Henin Hardenne. Such beautiful backhands. And of course Agassi, though the two handed backhand is not my ideal of a beautiful looking stroke. Tim Henman for his serve and volley game. Roger because his tennis is so beautiful to watch.

Former players? Johnnie Mac for those wonderful hands at the net. Boris Becker for his dive around the court game. Jimmy Conners for his bulldog approach to winning. Sampras for his serve and volley game. And I wish I had seen Laver in his prime. And Arthur Ash was truly graceful on the court.

ATP: Federer any time any where.

Other ATP players may be interesting to watch depending on whom their opponent is. For example it's fun to watch Hewitt or Agassi against Roddick.

Melzer is fun to watch when he's not injured. I saw him work Agassi recently .... he was a hoot with all those drop shots.

Roddick, Agassi, Fish, Blake, Ginepri (see a pattern here) but my favorite would have to be Roddick. As for non-american it would probably be Olivier Rochus who i don't think anyone has yet to mention. He upset Moya at the U.S. Open and went pretty far in the Australian Open where he narrowly lost to Safin. Any one who is 5 feet 5 inches and plays in the ATP deserves my respect.

    Baseliners bore me to death.

A question for the older guys. My uncle tells me that Roy Emerson was better than Rod Laver. Why has no one mentioned him?
