    As the title says

Mine is 'Let it snow'. Frank Sinatra or Michael Buble's are my favourite.

"Baby, It's Cold Outside" (version by Johnny Mercer and Margaret Whiting--all other versons pale by comparison).

"Sleigh Ride" (Harry Connick version or Ella Fitzgerald version)

"Good King Wenceslas" (Mel Torme jazz version--also for some fun, listen to Mel Torme's "Glow Worm" (Christmas lyrics)--the Velvet Fog's Christmas CD is very underrated (and by the way MT wrote "The Christmas Song" (best version by Nat King Cole))

    "White Christmas" (Bing only)

"Jingle Bells" (Frank Sinatra version or Glenn Miller version)

And, if you just want nice holiday music (no lyrics) to get you in the mood, you cannot beat the December CD by George Winston.

Well....the cd tracks flow almost seamlessly, and can be mistaken for a single carol. All the songs on

Ray Conniff's "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" cd

are my favorite. Not just the type of songs, but how they sang it. Reminds me of my childhood when we played it on cassette. I will be playing it multiple times throughout every Christmas season.

I heard Winter Wonderland by Phantom Planet about 5 years ago and now it has a permanent place on my Christmas playlist.

Ya thats my favorite Christmas Cd. I make my family put it on over the rest of the crap we own. I dont mind some of the stuff thats all instrumental and done but orchestras.

One I hate is Santa Baby- Madonnas version. That song just creeps me out. Giving Santa a ride for gifts just doesnt sound to Chrismasty.

I agree...I cannot stand that song (any version). To me it is like nails on a chalkboard. Another one high on the creepometer is Thank Heaven for Little Girls.

Nana Mouskouri, Boney M, Burl Ives and John Denver hit the stereo every year. I just bought Enya's Christmas CD and am all tingly with excitement.

I love Mel Torme, i honestly prefer his voice to Frank Sinatra; Even though Frank Sinatra is the better singer, if you get what i mean.

Agreed. I had the good fortune to have seen them both in person. Mel was pretty amazing (and the setting was much smaller--a smokey night club) but I can tell you I have never been as entertained as I was by Frank--and by that time he had really lost his voice but he still "owned" every song he sung. With the exception of a few folks (maybe Buble and Connick), we just don't see that kind of talent these days. And no, I am not too old--still under 50, just barely.

Must have been amazing, my dad is 55 and got to see sammy davis junior. I've watched videos and he's a great entertainer.

I'm quite jealous that you got to see them. Me being 17 are living in a time when the likes of Cheryl Cole and Westlife/Take That are dominating charts, it's not good.

Good one--"Father Christmas" is one of the better original rock X-mas songs--but took musicians of the quality of Emerson, Lake and Palmer to pull it off.
