Fed isn't the GOAT as there isn't such a thing a GOAT.
I mean GOAT is a matter of opinion. To me he's the best of his generation, the greatest of his era. What he has achivied so far is just(i leave it to your imagination).
I congratulate him for his win and i wish him good luck for the rest of the season.

    From a Rafa supporter.

Great achievement indeed but all these GOAT talks should be put to rest as it's subjective.

Finally a sensible approach to this whole GOAT and cows debate. Who knows who is the GOAT, COW or SHEEP. Its a subjective thing and we may never agree.

Agree, you could make a case for quite a few players.Fed has a strong case now but so do guys like Laver,Borg,Sampras,Pancho,Tilden etc. It's a neverending debate and the one I don't particulary care about.

As Mats Wilander and Villas clearly put it, there can never be a goat. Difference competitors, times, eras etc. He was already in the history books so this completion doesn't put him there. But GOAT finally some sense that Mats and Villas spoke about :)

It cant really be proven without the use of a time machine. One can say Fed didnt have to deal with anyone on Borg, Laver or Pancho or Sampras' level his entire career and vice versa. You would have to get everyone playing together in the same era to prove beyond a reasonable doubt.

Tanking? LOL... if they did that then they would lose all respect from most people. Players who tank matches are also pathetic losers.

So hopefully you change your mind about the "tanked" part. :)

Champions either win or go down fighting. Tanking? Damn.. thought Nadal deserved more than that.

I've always approached the debate in terms of the Greek Pantheon: Tier 1 (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades). Tier 2 (Ares, Hermes, Apollo, Hephaestus). Tier 3 (Eros, Morpheus). Demigods. Then the rest.

    Nevertheless, a great achievement.

You guys say GOAT making it sound stupid but Federer is the greatest of all time. Its practically the same thing as saying greatest of the era and greatest of this generation. There is a such thing as greatest of all time. Its not an opinion anymore when hes won 14 grandslams and 20 straight semifinals and a whole bunch of achievements we dont know about.

How is he even the best of his era? There are 7 billion people in the world. Federer hasn't even win 1000 matches in his life, and until he beats everyone in the world, there is always someone out there better than you. Fact.

As a Fed fan I wish you wouldn't post these pictures. It makes it look like he's taking the most massive dump in history of mankind. Over 100 Courics.
You should post pictures of him holding the trophy up in victory once he composed himself. Now that's glorious.
