Fed is great. I hope he wins the US Open, but I wish some of the lower ranked guys would win Montreal and Cincy.

  5. I hope pregnancy gives Gulbis a boost.

I just really don't like him.

Man, if I were him I'd be a wreck though. Pregnant wives.

Kudos to him for actually getting a kick out of it.

If he is, I'm sure it'll give him a boost.

Not liking him doesn't mean I don't like watching him play. How is it my loss?

I'm kidding. I know he's not perfect but I think he overall has a great personality and the most players will agree with me.

  15. I respect ur opinion but what is ur main reason for not like him? That he is so succesful?

I think I'm an exception to the no-Fed train.
I can see all of his good points. I adore his playing style. All his strokes seem really elegant and powerful to me. And yet I just never find myself rooting for him.

I think I just like the underdogs better. :D

    Go Youzhny. LOL

(I'm kidding, I positively despise Youzhny.)

No! That suggests I envy him. And I certainly do not want to be a 27 year old man... even if he does hold the record for number of GS won.

Plus I'd have to look after twins. Oh God. I can't be around children. I'd continue playing into my forties just to avoid them.

No no. Fed makes a better him than I would. :p

I actually think one reason could be that I was watching Federer back in his early days of temper tantrums and racquet throwing. Perhaps I started nursing a pet peeve for him then. Even though he's hardly the same person these days, maybe I just can't forget his old ways?

    Pregnancy heh?

Im sure knowing he didnt have to deal with Nadal OR Djokovic who has been crap all year.. He would have had to play these guys back to back at the French. or knowing he didnt have to deal with Nadal at Wimbeldon defending his title, was a bit of a boost too wouldnt u say?

Lack of participation by Nadal gave him the boost

    26 actually...

But there is no doubt, he got a boost when Nadal went down.. Pregnancy? LOL.. Please..

  27. Being as succesful as he has been and still is, there ARE other things that he can find peaceful and give him a boost, i definetely think the pregnancy did.

I believe he was talking about the five-set thrillers.
He already said quite frankly that Nadal's absense gave him the advantage, especially in the finals where he didnt have to face Nadal for the first time.

I will agree for Fed. Just as long as he at least ACKNOWLEDGES Nadal's abscence.

Why don't you check back the post-match on-court speech after FO - or you want him to acknowledge it every single presser from now till retirement?
