he ofcouse is gonna do this, and if he does nadal is fcked, he'll never win more than 10 slams, and itll be hard to be #1 again or keep #2 if murray does good.

Not so fast. It's possible of course, but one match at a time, eh?

There's no guarantee for anything in professional sport,Fed might win both Wimbledon and USO then again he might not win either.Anything is possible, that's why they actually play the matches.

As for Nadal,I predict he'll end up in 10-12 range but my guess is as good as anyone's.He's still 23 so despite his playing style and injury problems he still has time on his side.

If Roger can win Wimbledon and then also add the US Open and the Australian in January, he would complete the "Roger Slam' (4 grand Slams in a row) much like the "Serena Slam" when she won them all in a row but not in the same year.

No guarantee he will "of course" do this, but it is possible.

Did you not learn anything from the FO. Nothing is guaranteed. Just a month ago, nadal was guaranteed to win the FO, most likely wimbly, and possibly even the USO, was going to end the year as no.1, no questions asked. Now look how things have changed.

+1, the most annoying type of trolls are the ones that have tough talk about their hero every time, but when someone else doing the same for another player turns out to be wrong, they'll reboot every thread ever made about it.

This reminds me of the certainty of some Rafatards saying that he would win the CYGS this year after he finally won a HC slam. Now the *******s are certain Fed will win all the remaining slams this year after he finally won a claycourt slam. FAIL.

Most likely Wimby? Nadal? Even if he was 100%, most likely he wouldn't make the final. Miracles happen only once.

I don't think Rafa gives a rat's ass about Fed's career. I don't think Rafa has ever claimed to be a better player than Fed (much to the chagin of some Fed worshippers bizarrely). He has his own career to focus on, much more exciting than enumerating Fed's trophies (at least for himself and I have to say for me as well).

He's made 3 W finals, so miracles have already happened 3 times and it's very likely they will continue happening in the future...

The miracle was actually winning the title.. In my opinion, it (Nadal reaching Wimbledon finals) will stop happening from now on.

Back to the original topic, It's very likely that the OP is right. At Wimbledon, Federer had 5 straight titles, with no one seriously challenging him except Nadal. With him out of the way this year, it looks like smooth sailing, kind of like the French was after Soderling took out Nadal. The problem I see for Nadal is that his knee problems seem to originate or at lease gotten worse on the softest surfaces there are - clay and grass. Even if he takes a month off, what's gonna happen when he starts playing for hours every day on a the hard courts of the US Open series, and the Open? Unless he can wear an "S" on his chest, it will get even worse, and he has never been much of a threat in New York anyway.

  15. Just because Nadal has had problems during the softer surface part of the year, doesn't mean that is when the problem originates. The guy hasn't been at his best since 2008 and it started during the the last half of last year during the hardcourt season. I don't think he has ever gotten all the way back.

I don't think he has either, even though he won Australia. But with hard court season coming up, I don't think he can. It will just be too tough on his knees, making it easier for Federer to reach 16.

I can already see the headlines on TENNIS.com, "Sweet 16" (You heard it here! LOL). Of course I'd like to see it, but saying Fed will get to 16 or even 15 is just getting ahead of ones self. Let's stop with these "(player) will do this/reach this many slams" and just watch one match at a time

Fed will not win the USO. No man has won the same slam for 6 yrs in a row in the Open era. Of course that is a curse that clown Rickson won't even mention.

where did that come from? Your posts are filled with bitterness. it is hilarious. I am sure federer, djokovic, murray, roddick etc. also dont give a rats ass about nadals career as well so what exactly is your point? All pros pursue 4 slams. I am pretty damn sure Nadal wouldnt mind winning 14 slams like federer.
