I have the opportunity to pick up a set of Fed's red shirt and gray shorts from the line he wore during the 2008 US Open for about $50. My only options are an XL in both. While I am not too worried about the shorts, I am worried that the shirt might be baggy. I generally wear a large in most other Nike stuff, including Fed's gear from the 09 season.

Will it fit the same as his Master polo from 2008 (the one with the solid vertical stripe down the front)? Thanks for your help!

    Cheers!

The Federer US Open polo (Manhattan Polo) fits a little bigger than the Masters polo which was very tight. I would try to find it in proper size to avoid that baggy look.

if you normally wear L size, it will be fine with XL.
I was a little surprised that the polo was smaller than 09 federer AO polo.

the 08 Manhattan and 08 masters were similar in fit since both are of the same style. they are more of a tighter fit compared to this years stuff.

I wouldn't say they were the same fit at least not with size medium. I always wear medium and the Masters Polo was unwearable... way too small like it was sized incorrectly.

Fit is true to size, as opposed to the AO clothes of the same year which were slim fits and you had to go a size bigger.

You should be fine with the XL, I am 6'3 165-175 and have both L and XL, both fit fine.

I am about 41L suit jacket. Fairly wide shoulders, otherwise slim. Usually wear Sz L in Nike.

Red one is L, Black one is XL, Shorts I found too fit big, I need a M, 32" waist.
