Roger is as low as 6/1 in the UK to do The Slam. It just shows how dominant the man is at the moment.

I'm surprised at the difference in odds. Surely you could make money on arbitrage by backing and laying at different odds.

You can get 12/1 with Ladbrokes but 6/1 at Betfred. Huge range.

doesn't matter what the odds are. It's wasted money anyway.

Why everybody is hyping up for Roger making the GrandSlam??No chance imo.

Hmm.. Also how quick even bookies are to jump on and off a bandwagon. There's nothing that suggests his chances now are better than in 2006 or 2007. Sure, he's won Paris, but Delpo's win in USO and pushing Federer to 5 at the French was no fluke. Roger will bring his best, but I do see quite some players that can trouble the 2008-2010 Federer. He can still platy great when he's on, but even a guy like Igor Andreev had him on the ropes just 2 weeks ago.

    Indeed...

Wouldn't say no chance though. Roger stands a chance at the French, and if he is to win that, I wouldn't bet my house on him NOT doing it. Roger has surprised us before, so wouldn't say no chance. but 6/1 is ridiculous.

It's silly to say no chance. How about low chance?

The only way Fed will win the CYGS is if the 2 Spanish Speaking Spartans, Rafa and Juan Martin, remain injured for the rest of the year. Clear as water that the scottish clown Murray can't beat Fed at a slam. Roddick will never beat Fed at a slam either. Nole needs Fed to get mono again. So only a healthy Rafa and a healthy Del Potro can beat Fed at a slam. The rest of the players on tour can't do it and they dont believe they can do it and they will not do it. Period.

If Nadal's out, his chances are automatically better than they were in 06 and 07.

Del Potro CAN beat him on clay and hardcourt...in 5 sets. Nadal was EXPECTED to beat him on clay in 4. Big difference.

That said, he's no longer an absolute lock for Wimbledon and the US Open like he was then.

I think he can do it. Del Potro at Roland Garros will be his biggest hurdle, but it is possible.

actually the bookies only set the original odds margin, once betting commences the betting patterns themselves reformulate the odds after every bet

as for del po beating fed on clay, i would say thats super highly unlikely. del po is just size handicapped, not skill, but on clay bigger guys have movement issues even if slight

Have to agree. Zero chance. Why don't people realize that Murray will be taking the next 3.
