With his win today, Federer is assured of reaching the semifinals of the ATP World Tour Finals. This would tie Pete Sampras for the second most semifinals at the fifth biggest tennis tournament. I don't think Federer will break Ivan Lendl's record of 12 semifinals.

Well, he's going to play them for the 10th time in 11 years, so it may be a bit early to say that he won't ever reach 12... ;)

This year is his 10th right? I can easily see him qualify for the event for two more years.... Top 8 should be easy to do... but will he make semifinals? 2013 probably yes... 2014 is questionable I think......

Yes, I could see him qualifying for another three more years. But, semifinals for three more years. That is a tall order.

Like his entire career, Lendl's performance at this tournament was severely underrated. 12 consecutive semifinals. 9 consecutive finals.

    McEnroeisanartist,

This is completely off-topic and I apologize in advance to all. I could not find a way to send a PM to you on the site.

Given your fascination with numbers, I thought you would find this article interesting. I do not care about any political inclinations but as someone who likes numbers and data, I loved this article. Hope you enjoy as well. I will remove my post once you have seen it.
