With his 2007 Wimbledon Championship, Federer has set another record that conveys his sustained excellence:

    1. First male player to win at least two Grand Slams for four consecutive years.

Yeah Sampras won 2 each from 93-95. Borg won 2 each from 78-80.
Fed won from 04-07. More credit as he has won 3 in 2004 and 2006. He may win 3 in 2007 as well.

You left out, first person to go by the name Roger Federer and win Wimbledon more than once.

Roger became the first person since Pete Sampras to win 6-2 in the 5th set of a Wimbledon final since P Sampras beat G Ivanisevic 6-7 7-6 6-4 3-6 6-2 in 1998.

More information, intended primarily as trivia and not as a record:

First male player in 15 years to win Wimbledon without playing a grass court warm-up tournament. The last was Agassi.

To be the all-time greatest, what he needs just a French Open.

Fed is the first Wimbledon winner in the Open Era to win less games(24) in the final than the runner-up(Nadal won 26 games)

I'm wondering if he's the first to get broken more in the final(4) than his opponent(3) as well.

    7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2

    Federer: 7+4+7+2+6 = 26
    Nadal: 6+6+6+6+2 = 26

Unless, of course, you don't count a tiebreak as a game.
