Hopefully it'll show in his results (which are still awesome anyway).

Is Federer's next tournament Indian Wells?

Hopefully the beating Nadal has given him for the past year and a half has humbled him to the point where he can take a coach's advice.

I found this picture and it looks photoshoped to me. Roger definitely looks like he's been photoshopped in.

but either way if the news is true, good for him.

Not sure, actually. I suppose. I'm just not frequent on that site to be certain.

Still, it's interesting if it's really happening.

True. Looks odd. His hair is longer there, too. So it must "be" old, right?

bigger it's clearer that it's photoshoped. Another thing that gives it away is the color contrast of the two. Cahill looks like he's underneath an afternoon sun and Roger looks like he's under a 4-5pm grey evening. Also Roger's hand looks aligned with cahill supposed to show that they are facing eachother directly but if you look at where their eyes are looking it's not correct. Plus Roger looks a little too big.

Good for Roger and Cahill. I hope this is a successful partnership and helps fed break the slam record!

While the picture can be doctored the articles on the subject seem real enough. I'd imagine what was required was a source image of Fed/Cahill together to illustrate an article and that's the result xD

WOW! I've been hoping for this partnership for a long time! I think Cahill is the man to bring Fed back to his best. Bring on IW!!

I hope its true. Roger needs a coach to point out his weaknesses and work on good strategy against players who exploit those weaknesses.

Cayhill is a great guy and a good coach.

As long as Roger listens to him and actually tries to execute some of his ideas I can see good things happening.

If that's true, would Cahill be a full time coach or just a part time coach like Higueras? There's a big difference.

Cahill is a good coach but I don't believe in tennis gurus. At the end of the day it's the player who takes decisions on the court and I'm not sure if someone could make Federer change his mind at this point of his career. It's been said that he's not a coachable player. His problems in the last year were not strategic.

not to undermine his abilities, work ethic, etc. at all, but Roger really, really needs a coach at this point in his career. this is no newsflash at all i realize, but he obviously has shown an inability to prevent certain players from exploiting his weakness early and often throughout a match, resulting in a loss.
if he doesn't get a coach and change some tactics, it will continue to happen.

    Any updates on this rumour??

I guess Indian Wells could tell alot. If Federer comes out all guns blazing and wins the title then maybe he has indeed been working with Cahill or he just has made some big changes mentally with his team, and tactically but the latter I doubt.

    We'll see next week.
