This is a clip against Devin Britton in the 1st round of the US Open. Britton hits a high spinny ball and wait to you see Federers sweet hesitation shot..
What kind of a shot is this? Is there a name for this kind of a shot?

Go to 3:11 in the clip
    The shot happens at 3:20

If I say once again how much I wish you were gone, will it make you leave again?

Nice observation Con, I liked the shot. He is just so much in control and the ball is short and slow so he has lots of time to hit it back.

It's the "do-a-Sudoku-and-fill-out-a-tax-return-before-striking-the-ball" forehand. It's becoming quite popular on the Challenger circuit.

I thought it was cool. Because he baited Britton to the other side of the court and then with that hesitantion he didnt hit it cross court

Britton should have served and volleyed more in that match.
