Maybe people can use this thread like we use the nadal news thread? (if they wish:-|)

Anyway I didn't know where to post this video. It's a video that includes some of Rafa's pre-match rituals, and pre-final interviews with both Rafa and Roger in the tunnel.

But....what the heck is under Roger's nose? Did he not wipe his nose properly? beginning at 3:40

    Federer:
I'll let you win the US Open for once if you tire out Nadal in Paris like you did last year in Madrid.

    Djokovic:
    Done deal.

Is that a paintjob of the Vapour VI or the LL Vapours that Fed is wearing, looks nice on court.

Fed should get tips from someone who actually knows how to hit a proper one handed backhand.

Rooney destroys Federer at table tennis and Ronaldo looks like a d0uche even as a Simposn character.

I would kill for Fed's shoes for this edition of RG. They are simply awesome.

    The shirt... not so much.

Personally I don't like Fed's FO clothing this year. It doesn't suit it him at all; especially the end bits on the sleeves of the t shirt.

Yes, completely agree about the shirt. In fact, IMHO, it looks pretty disgusting.

    Aha, so start the excuses.

"But a lung infection struck his young twin daughters and then his wife, Mirka, who spent three days in the hospital. Finally, it hit Federer, too, and kept him off the practice court for more than a month and away from the ATP Tour for six weeks.

“The lung infection was something that definitely threw me back like the mono did throw me back a little,” Federer said, referring to the mononucleosis that he contracted in late 2007 and carried into 2008. “You just kind of feel that you have to play catch-up.”

Look at the date of the post and of the article.

No one really made excuses for Fed after his loss to Soderling, neither Fed himself nor the vast majority of his fans either.

He didn't lost because of a lung infection or any similar nonsense,he was in great form but he just got outplayed by an on fire Soderling, end of story.

get over it I have some love for roger. It's the fans that are unbearable at times. life was simpler when I enjoyed tennis without tennis forums.

yup, i wish i could go back to those innocent days before joining this forum, when i could actually root for underdogs playing Sir you-know-who. Slam counts and head to heads had no meaning to me, nor did rankings, i wanted every match to be a close fight till the last point.

I wanted everyone to win a slam and be happy, not one guy to collect them all, lol. Looks what this board has made of me :)

    ROGER FEDERER NURTURES TWIN ROLE
    Sunday June 20,2010

Roger Federer admits his life is not going to change from winning Grand Slam titles to changing nappies and feeding his twin daughters.

The Swiss master starts the defence of his Wimbledon title tomorrow admitting he is not playing well, but he has still set himself targets – like a seventh singles championship at SW19 and his world No 1 ranking back again.

He accepts that at 28 he cannot go on forever and that the day will come when it becomes harder and harder to leave his beloved girls, now nearly a year old.

“I’m a hands-on dad,” he said. “I do the nappies, feed them, play with them and so far the longest I have been away from them is three days.
“We are a loving emotional family. I cried when they were born and having them around hasn’t messed with my mind.

“It has relaxed me, but the fact is since the Australian Open I have struggled to play my best.”
He was a shock loser to Aussie Lleyton Hewitt on the grass of Halle last week, a defeat that was as much as a surprise to Federer as it was to Wimbledon watchers.

And he explained: “I had an uncomfortable time and those things can happen, but the fires still burn within and my love for tennis is there still.

“I enjoy myself too much for there to be a need to leave the game. It’s not as if I’m waking up with aches and pains or a bad back or leg.

“That can wear you down, but I’m fine with the travelling as well.

“When the day comes to make decisions about the family it will be interesting to see how we handle it.

“I am going to carry on and I will still want to play even if I lose my title here or go out of the US Open. Being No 5 in the world, for instance, wouldn’t be a problem. I’ve priorities still
“I want a seventh title here and to be the leading player in the world again. That has always meant so much to me.
