Not surprising. Was 2007 the last time he played there?

Careful! Crossing your fingers that hard may result in ligament damage.

IMO, he's not 100% prepared for the AO. His losses in Abu Dhabi and Doha showed glaring problems with his BH

I figured he'd want more match practice, but maybe he'd rather spend all of this week on BH drills and maybe some quick recovery if his wrist was bothering him, even in the slightest. No need to risk it on some exo, if that's the case.

Hopefully, he's making the right choice.

It is really hard to take the loss at Abu Dhabi seriously. I mean he was playing in a Rolex and serving and volleying nearly every point.

Some media reports saying his wrist was sore and the comms pointed it out too.Not much information from Roger or his camp though.

He has said that it's nothing serious and that he'll be fine come the AO.
In any case, I think giving a possible niggle some rest is a lot more of a sensible decision that risking aggrevating it by playing some Cash Cow-exho event.
