Fed showing up to play today. And giving a good idea of what a slice backhand can do to a full western grip.

maybe Nadal need to find rythm to his game. I'm expecting a tougher 2nd set, and even a 3rd set.

It's only Nadal's first final in three months.

But 27minutes in the first set?

    GO NADAL!!!

It's all one way traffic so far. Over 40 minutes of play and Nadal's down 2-6. 1-2. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a hot spot in this 2nd set though

That was close, Nadal had his first break point, phew!

Did you see that Federer is winning 83% of ponts on his first serve, and Nadal can only manage 50%! Also Fed has 43% of his receiving points to Nadals 22%

I knew this final was going to be a classic: if they play like this everytime they meet, it'll be one of the best tennis rivalries ever.
Federer in the first set was nothing short of genius...any other player would folded but Nadal is so strong mentally and is coming back with a war!

All of sudden, FED is making a lot of errors. Dumping volleys into the net, approaching shorts going long, shanking balls on the backhand side. Just a completely different FED as in set 1.

Yeah - I have it on TV here: it's baseline-slugging....with beauty!
Both guys are trying to hit the cover off the ball....Federer chancing his S&V play but Nadal's groundies have a lot of power and depth to them...

    3rd set: Nadal 2-0...

I am periodically watching it on the TTC. It seems like Federer just turns his switch on and off. Nadal will be dictating for a bit, then Federer turns on and then just totally dominates. Its quite weird.

I think Fed needs to play more angles to throw Nadal off. I can't believe he gets away with standing that far behind the baseline.

After losing last 5 games, Federer holds serve quickly....2-1.
(on this display, neither Hewitt or Roddick or Safin would be able to live with these two...)

You're lucky. I can't get one because my parents think I'll get carried away by TTC and watch it the whole time and not study. My dad said he would get it for me, but my mom is the one whos saying no all the time.
