Some nice points in that last game, wondering if Murray will only get more in the zone as it goes on and get some of these in

VERY good hold by federer, holding murray off there. That shot down the line that murray almost pulled off after the federer's impressive backhand smash would of been the shot of the whole aussie open if he pulled it off.

Can't do that when you're missing first serves, first serves are not hitting spots, murray returning almost everything deep.

Fed does everything well, but somehow Murray outsmarts him. Weird to watch.

Murray so tight on break points. If he loses this set, he has no one to blame but himself. Surprised he so tight.

Murray getting 70% of first serves in and winning 84% of first serve points. Absolutely immense.

Fed is mostly an instinctive player. I don't think he's particularly smart.

Role reversal - Federer is surviving off Murray's errors. And his serve is terrible. this is sad to watch.

Fed also has less UEs so he's having the stats of a pusher.

From those serve stats, sounds like back problems from Fed.

    Murray also has more UE's.

At least it was 11-5 in Winners and 11-5 in UE's at one point

Murray's brute strength has been so controlled and he is hitting such a heavy ball. Federer is not rattling him at all.

The difference in level is obvious at the moment. Federer is struggling just to stay competitive.

Fed is going to need Murray's help in this match if he's going to win lol.

Fck of!. Just fck off with your excuses.
    Veroniquem is right.
Murray's best results have come in fast conditions.
He's hammered Djokovic, Federer and Nadal multiple times in these conditions so stop it with the nonsense.

To be honest, you don't think anything positive about Fed. You're not exactly an objective poster, now are you? You also don't seem to analyze the game very well :)

I think fed slices vs Murray at times just to get a breather in the rallies.

Murray will have ton of trouble holding here. All these stats mean nothing. I see Fed break unless Murray goes for it in the big points.

That improved Murray forehand technique is making a huge difference. Andy is deadly on both sides now, and even more so on the forehand than backhand for power. Roger is screwed unless Andy drops his level.

Everytime murray is forced to play a point to federer's forehand, the next point is ALWAYS putting it back on federer's backhand. Its such a simple plan but its working so well.

Everyone knows federer's forehand is scary.

Federer is keeping it competitive. Murray just has him by the balls since he broke early and is defending his own serve very well.

I think the USO victory is making all the difference in Murray's attitude. He outplayed Federer for one and a half sets at Wimbledon too but the pressure of winning the first slam in front of his home crowd got to him and Fed was just not willing to give up Wimby so easily.
Today is different, I think. Looking at how things are going so far, Murray may take this in straights.

Good sign for Muzza if the Fed fans are already overdoing the excuses. Fed's serve deteriorates when his opponents are challenging it. That's why Nadal has so much success against him.
