federer shot selection is horrible today.

when he gets the slight opening...he rushes too much.

    federer totally garbage today.

It might be his back as Federer is just not moving very well and he seems to have some trouble stretching and bending. It would explain his horrible serving tonight.

Jo takes 2nd set. Can Federer pull himself together and make this a contest again?

I think Federer is having some back issues. Groundstrokes don't have much sting, movement slow, serve is off.

honestly i know roger has had a good first 4 rounds.

but i always felt that he played much better last year.

his fh and serve were there the whole tournament until he played nadal in the second set.

So Tsonga levels at 1-1.. Fed fans keep the faith.. Remember Wimbleon last year against Djokovic.. I had no faith when Djokovic won the second set.. Federer went on to win the third and fourth sets against a much better player.. All is not lost.. Tsonga is too good a player for Federer to take this in straights!

It's not like Federer is playing terrible at the moment. Jo just needs to keep those first serves in place and employ that consistently offensive game. If he can, I can see him winning this. However, we're far from that.

Yeah, Federer will likely still win. Even if he loses, I won't mind it too much. I always thought this was the toughest Slam for him to win right now, even more so than the French Open.

Please stop making dumb excuses for him. If he wins, he wins. If he loses, he loses. He plays the game, that means he's good to play. You're beginning to sound like a *******.

Wow, so many doubters in this thread. it's 1 set all guys... how many times have we seen Federer step it up after playing pedestrian tennis in the majors? No faith, none of ya.

I mean for cryin out loud Federer is 222-10 when winning the first set.. that's better than 95%.

It's not about the score, it's about his level of play today, I'm sure most people are well aware Fed can still win this match.
