He's not a Fed fan, he's just trying to instigate people against him.

My post wasn't meant to be quoted though. Darn I need to figure out how to edit on this forum.

Tsonga keeps playing well. Fed can't seem to handle the pace of Tsonga's ground strokes too well atm. Who will take the 3rd?

Federer gets ahead in the rallies, but won't go for the winner. Federer was 2 feet inside the baseline and rolled the FH crosscourt.

This is basically what you get when someone exploits Federer's backhand and serving good ofcourse.

Why isn't Federer going for any corners, just hits balls up the middle of the court...

More likely the flu epidemic has caught up with Federer. He normally hardly sweats at all but he's been sweating a lot tonight.

NOW I feel Tsonga is just beating Fed for pace, not like before with all the UE. Doesn't bode well for Fed.....

Why are the commentators talking as if Tsonga has already won the match?

He hitting some good shots and he's solid on serve but he's too irratic to harm Fed.

    Overreaction IMO.

Man. Federer just needs to keept his focus on the serve, and if he gets behind on the Tsonga serve relax. But Tsonga is serving really well this half of the set. Hoping Roger breaks him next game. 4-4.

Murray's been dispatching clowns left and right all week long.

It's about time he plays someone that can give him a challenge.

LOL at commentators going to town on Tsonga's one hander.

Cahill: "Yeah he's got to get rid of that shot."

Brad Gilbert: "I HATE that shot!"

40-15 to Roger. He's serving better, seems to be biding his time. and he holds. 5-4 Roger, tiebreak fast approaching perhaps.

Federer isn't playing his best tennis here, we all know this, but he is still very well in this match. People are acting as if the end is near for Roger. Hmm.

Not really. I think that Tsonga is holding form on BH, serving well & has a game plan. He is mixing well rather than just blasting, using all his talent not just 80%. People complain when the top 10 don't step up & challenge the top 4 & complain when they do.

Federer will have to play better but that is why it is a quarter finals time & if you are a real tennis fan, you must want these matches? Hope the match heats up & they both start playing well at the same time. The reality is the game has got too fast, it takes unbelievable movement to weather the shot-making if the other guy is hot. Players have to adapt, improve & I think RF has done that. Unfortunately for him, everybody else is getting better too!

I thought RF coming in has moved really well, think he looks really balanced moving forward. His serving always ebbs & flows when the returning is top quality. Roger's ball striking/obvious feel used to get him out of trouble...now the top guys are hitting it harder with more spin, he has had to learn to defend more. Not really the way for him to win, dictating matches was always his strength.

It was easier before...it is not just that he has lost a step, the other guys are getting better too. It still takes 2 players to make a great match.
Really glad for the game that these 2 are choosing to show why they are such great players.

I am not saying that this is a classic...yet.

Massive overreactions on this forum and in the commentating booth of EuroSport.

Wilander just said he's worried about Fed being blown away by Tsonga or something to that effect.

    I just don't see it.

Would Tsonga pose a threat after 5 sets with Federer?
